Thresholds and Transitions
Sustainability research has entered a period in which the questions are less about direction than about thresholds: how much, how fast, at what cost, and borne by whom. CREATE — the Conference on Research, Environment, Adaptation, Transition and Equity — convenes researchers, doctoral candidates and early-career scholars around that evidence base.
Bring measurement, not aspiration. The Forum exists for the datasets, the field trials and the honest null results.

Each track runs four parallel sessions across the two days, chaired by a track lead. Nominate one track when you submit; the committee may reassign with your agreement.

Built for Researchers, Not for Plenaries
The Forum is capped, chaired and timed so that the discussion after a paper is as long as the paper. A third of presentation slots are held for doctoral candidates and early-career researchers, and twenty fee waivers are available for delegates from low- and lower-middle-income countries.

Answers Before You Submit
May I submit more than one abstract?
Yes — up to two as presenting author. A second accepted paper carries a S$120 fee at registration.
Is there an online or hybrid option?
No. CREATE 2027 is in person only. Keynote recordings are published to the delegate archive two weeks after the Forum.
What counts as early career?
A doctoral candidate, or a researcher whose doctorate was awarded within the last five years. Proof is requested at registration.
Will you issue a visa invitation letter?
Yes, to registered delegates on request, normally within five working days. The secretariat cannot intervene in visa decisions.
